Tried to get a pic of my AR 6.8 barrel after 15 shots. Has had about 120 through it total.
This is about the worst copper fouling i have seen, is it even that bad? Still shoots OK.

That's shite.. What bread is the barrel?
For a dozen rd's it is.
Does it shoot alright?
I have seen worse but that's definitely copper
A big fast bullet beats a little fast bullet every time
Could it be related to the projectile being used ?
clean the hell out of it,make sure there is absolutely no copper left in it.
load a few blanks and fire to carbon barrel.
This can help a lot.

My last 4 rifles would all copper foul like that - even after only a few rounds. My current rifle - will look like that after only a couple of rounds and yet all my previous rifles shot well and my current one is an absolute machine. Doesn't do a cold/clean flyer - I've never not found a sub moa load for it in over 5 different projectiles including the finiky LRAB - only ever used factory ammo in it once and that was for shooting her in - and even that shot sub moa after 2 sighters to get it on paper. So I've come to the conclusion that we/people get antsy about having copper showing in our barrels and can chase tales all day long - yet if it shots then why worry?
I've got some jbs if you want some . Used it on advice from the forum , on my 223 that was fouling bad . Worked well
