Theres quite a bit if luck involved for the shot to fall that close to the middle too 🙂.
    It doesnt happen every time.

… but I say if you intended to hit it and you did hit it, then take the credit !

Looks like a teaspoon challenge to me.

If you’ve used open sight sights I guess you used a full 6 o’clock aim ?
You’ll have to take the offset into account hunting animals with that !

Tricky target shading there- difficult shooting.

Yep 6 o’clock hold for target. 0-50m is just a point and shoot (no 6 o’clock hold on deer.

This is my effort. I had just put my 7mm08 tikka into one of @Fisherman lovely stocks.
Shot at 315yrds exactly as I would shoot in the field at this range. Backpack front rest and raincoat rear rest. Ranged, dialed and 3 shots off in about minute. Perfectly acceptable for a lightweight walk-about rifle in my opinion.

How big is your square? 50mm? I was going to say you need to get closer with a drop like that then I see it’s 25m, still a kill right?

Nice which one is your first shot as thats the only shot that counts for the dinner plate challenge.

Top lefthand impact was first. Wasn't exactly thinking of the dinner plate challenge when I shot this. Was more a confirmation of zero with new stock installed. But nice to know I'd have been on the money with field rest and cold clean bore.

As I dont hunt in winter,I like to make up targets to fit my scope retical at certain distance to magnifications.Im trying a Hornady white tail 165gr soft point. Most of the deer i shot last summer were inside 250yds.To work out the velocity n drop I fired 2 shots at 300yds with the scope setting of a 100yds.There was a constant northerly breeze, left to rigth.I wasn't to worried only needed drop numbers.I aimed at the top of target, green dot and carefully fired off 2 shots.I got a 18inch drop, velocity around 2414ft/sec.Good ammo for short range,il just carry a second mag of Hornady 165ssts if I need to stretch the 308 out to distance.18inch barrel,Nikko Stirling scope2x16x50.Shooting off bonnet of patrol.

Less recoil and bang with the Hornady Whitetail 165gr than the ssts.

I thought I would give it a go today, 211 meters with the 7mm rem mag. Thats about my average distance out on a hunt.

100m offhand (100m zero), cold barrel.
    129gr American Whitetail 6.5CM.
35mm off centre, so 1.5 MOA.
After this I tried for the 12" gong offhand @200m and missed 3 times. LOL

Identify your target beyond all doubt because you never miss (right?) and I'll be missed.

Went out this morning to check the SAUM for an upcoming trip.
1 shot @ 449m, prone with a sling and my front hand resting on a pack - as I do hunting.
Haven't shot a deer past 25m with the Bondstrikes, but they look good so far.
