Had one on my 300prc, absolutely rated it, will probably get another one for my 308win/30-06ai shared suppressor.
Yep have one on my 6.5CM, reduces the rifle hopping around when shooting off bipod on hard surface.
Got one on my 30-06. Makes it totally comparable to my 7x57mm both shooting 150gn at around 2800fps. I have an extra baffle on the 06. Combination makes it a very amiable rifle.
Muzzle brake on its own or muzzle brake cap that fits at the end of a suppressor?
a muzzle brake on its own means you will have no friends in double quick time ...
I should add that I have a brake on my 308 Norma Mag and no one will stand near me when I shoot it - and there is no way I will shoot it without grade 5 earmuffs - but the recoil is reduced to 243 level
Thinking about getting a dtp muzzle brake surpressor. Would it allow me to see hits though scope on a .308 win?
Maybe. On my heavy 308 with good technique I can see them. On the light 308 which is 3.1 kgs complete with braked suppressor I can't yet. Might be able to with more practise. Spotting hits with anything snottier than a 223/6mm CM isnt my strong point though . . .
Thanks @Tentman that's the answer I need.
I ordered a custom stainless DPT brake for my Ruger 358 Win, old mate was good enough to do a 35 cal which wasnt listed. Gave him the taper specs to mate up to the barrel. Supper Happy as I paid less than half what an Aussie gunsmith would have charged.
