Inches will never die CraigC

This statement is incorrect. Linear distance/range is measured in a linear unit not an angular unit.Quote:
If we need to range a target at an unknown distance, we have to speak MOA.
Other than that I do use MOA sort of, ... the conversion is not quite that easy when the ranges round here are in metric so 25m, 50m, 200m etc. I suspect a lot of the confusion comes from the fact that the unit symbol for MOA is the same as for Inches.
one shot into the arse end of a beercan @25m(for rimfire )or 100m(centerfire ) should reliably bring home" le bakon"_thats my froggie for the pork.
The main reason women have such trouble with inches I think is that they are constantly told 4-6 inches is actually 9-12 inches :D
Well the Yanks converted to metrics to get man on the moon, then converted back to imperial measurements with the results. Trying to do the calculations in imperial was too much of a nightmare and the metric system is more consistent.
yea it is good to understand basic metric and imperial measurements and how to convert them. and as long as america is the biggest in the gun department imperial will be here to stay :P.
1 MOA at 100 yards ( 91 meters ) i believe is 1.047" so basically 1 inch for hunting purposes.
