Well had a shit day at the range, but there is still lessons to be had from it.
Didn't attach the head, didn't lie straight behing the rifle, didn't completely relax the shoulder, did load the bipod and did pull the trigger properly. Result was still shit and the bigger rifles is unforgiving to such errors...

I was wondering what the white stuff was all over your rifle,stops your cheek/glove from sticking in the cold?
As your often shooting in gloves I am wondering what sort of trigger pull weight you run?

I enjoyed that Thomas, to be fair. Its an excellent demo for when your body position or lack of it is coupled with bad stock position in the shoulder can cause all manner of problems. I would also suggest that your position in the vid, opposed to a good one, would have your mpi off as much as it was, at 630m anyway. When you go back I bet your adjusting the dial back to where you had it at the start.;)
It didnt look like your initial firing position allowed for a good platform anyway?
I am sometimes slack at choosing a firing point and knowing it doesnt feel right, yet carry on anyway. Must be getting lazy in me old age.:D
Actually the bugsholes came back with the firing position, but I had a 0,6 mrad/6 click change poi right so I suspect something shit is going on. Will have to verify tomorrow...
Hopefulle it was just the turrets not disengaging properly last gime I set the turret. There's no way to feel thd difference between engaged/disengaged when you loosen the setscrews.
Is that the norm with all PMII's Thomas? So if you have found zero and want to zero the dial you have to confirm it by firing after doing so?Quote:

I've heard that extreme cold mixed with warmer air currents can actually warp light and make objects appear where they aren't. I trolled this off some news site -
"Cold air is denser than warm air and has therefore a greater refractive index. As light passes from colder air across a sharp boundary to significantly warmer air, the light rays bend away from the direction of the temperature gradient. When light rays pass from hotter to colder, they bend toward the direction of the gradient. If the air near the ground is warmer than that higher up, the light ray bends in a concave, upward trajectory.
Once the ray reaches the viewer's eye, the visual cortex interprets it as if it traces back along a perfectly straight "line of sight". This line is however at a tangent to the path the ray takes at the point it reaches the eye. The result is that an "inferior image" of the sky above appears on the ground. The viewer may incorrectly interpret this sight as water which is reflecting the sky, which is, to the brain, a more reasonable and common occurrence."
All it would have taken is the air on the ground to be much colder than the air up a couple of meters and there you go.

Getting there but not there yet. Had a terrible rain that washed away all the snow and flooded a lot of houses (frozen ground didn't soak up anything) and then we were snow-bombed so everything is white again...

The 375 would be really interesting to shoot, but the logistics concerning components would be absolutely horrible here.
I can fix that terrible shooting of yours. Drink less coffee :D I used to get growled at by the welding inspectors for it (pre test). LMAO

And coffee at the range is great, especially when its faarking cold outside and you have some home baked biscuits from the missus. :thumbsup:
