First outing with the 6mm ARC

So I couldn't wait for the mini howa to come out in the ARC so I got Greg at Custom Guns to whip up a ruger with a hardy barrel. Very quick turn around, 3 weeks!
The idea was so I could go out with Jack and share the one rifle.
A quick sight in on Thursday with a super crappie 9x scope I had laying around. Sighted in at 2.5 inches high at 100 yards.Name: 20230311_104709.jpg

Out for the weekend and put a nice stalk in on this red yearling and Jack put a perfect shot in the shoulder at 123 yards.

Another wee sorty and I spotted a couple of tasty looks fallow at 350 yards. They must of got our wind and then stopped at 373 yards. I put verticle post of the blurry Tassco on its neck and gave it a bit of elevation and down it went. Perfect neck shot!

Very impressive so far for just shooting the factory 108 eldm. Time will tell how it goes on the bigger animals. But it can sure place a shot so I believe it has a solid future in he quiver.

Ha. I wondered who was getting that rifle, it was on the counter after being proofed when I called in one day. The barrel profile and length is just perfect for both utility and balance, Jack is a lucky boy to have such a nice rifle to shoot!

Awesome, handy little rifle, and a promising neat little cartridge.

    What length is the barrel?

10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.
