Yeah a little culling of the goats and considerable selective shooting restraint has the numbers back upa bit. Heads have always been poor but culling a few like this will help a bit.Hes maybe 5-6 years old

    Cool
I once built two "spud guns" in spare time at sea.
All s/s 3" bore Q D barrel onto about a 30degree taper out to 200ish dia chamber 200ish long fitted with socket to fit standard spark plug.
designed to be fired shoulder mounted with two pistol grips a push button for elec trigger and batt ingnition mounted on chamber.
Hard to find spuds that big but found a frozen orange worked great with a rag as a wad behind it.(had to be frozen or it would disintergrate on leaving the barrel)

About 30 deg up would yield around 500y !(useing proper mix of lpg/oxygen) and make anyone take at least one but usually more steps back after fireing.

One was for my off sider. Mine I gave away for scrap value as I could see myself getting in the shit with it
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.

308Win One chambering to rule them all.

Great fun arnt they. First time I ever saw one was when we got a call to join a couple of yachts on anchor in a little bay in the sounds. We came around the corner just on dark and straight into an spud gun ambush. There were these three bloody great flashes from the vicinty of these couple of boats and three missiles came whistling through the rigging like RPG 7's. Frightened the hell out of me and the missus.

After that we all had to have them. Whenever we went shopping we had a ring and all the fruit was sized for calibre before being purchased.

Tape the crony with masking tape to prevent the burning black powder from damaging it. Abit of clear perspex over the LCD display makes it easy to read.

Take the sun sheilds off place the crony under an umbrella or some other shade and aim between the wires

Other than that there is really no other worry ........................... except if you hit it that is.

Let us know how you get on
