Cost isnt really the thing tho it is cheaper (more so in your cal i would have thought) hitting what your aiming at is the thing.
Ie a 10 inch average group at a 1000y will make it hard to hit a 10-12" plate even in good conditions, but a 5'' group makes it that much easier

30calterry loads for all our stuff 2 x 300 win mags 2 x 308 s he loaded for my 270 270 WSM 6.5 x 55 etc. In every case they are more accurate and the costs for 100 at a time were less after initial brass purchases But accuracy way better recoil way better and lots of other good stuff It's great that he likes to do it and is good at it Repeatable results made it worth it for me. He does however threaten continuously to leave the powder out of mine if I have first shot. :thumbsup:

4 kilos powder =400 bucks 308 = 47-52gr powder per shot( grains not grams)
Hornadys around 65-70 cents each barnes are fucken stupid but i dont shoot them at targets.
primers, last time i got some it was $180 for 2000
Brass for my cal is 110 for lapua give or take, I use them for long hunting and targets, cheap once fired fed off trade me for proper hunting in the bush.
2 to 3 bucks totally dependent on projectile brand , weight, popularity plus the accuracy requirements compared to wounding or killing requirements IM experience any way . 300 win mag I mean 308 bit cheaper for brass as is 270 but 270wsm costs more as well

I wasn't going to reload either, I didn't want the hassle.
I once thought I could get someone to develop me a load then I could get someone else to load it for me as needed. or the kind guys at my local hammils saying buy your powder etc from us and you can use our gear to load your rounds in our store with our guidance if needed.(store hours)
but it made more sense to do it myself, its not as hard as it sounds once your up and going.
it will make you a better shot, all those test loads need to be shot as straight as you can, so more practice.
whatever you choose, I know a couple of guys that got some loads made for them. but there rifles were not given to the guy when the loads were made.
to me this is not good, how did he know where the lands were, or that the powder charge was safe or even accurate well I suppose he just did a factory seating and an average powder weight. basicly a guess. not a development.
Based on rough figures for your first 300 rounds rushy:
$30 for 300 primers (a pack of 100 costs about $10)
$180 for 3lb of powder (assuming you use about 70grains per shot that will get you to 300)
$200 for 300 208amax
$89 for a pack of 50 brass (you will already have brass but that is the cost of new stuff and 50 should easy do 6 firings)
=$500 ish so $1.67 per round in consumables.
Now you need to factor in the one of cost for dies $80ish, if no one you no has dies.
You say you dont want to reload, im sure you can easily find someone who will load for you which means you dont have to spend $$$ on press etc etc.
Just give your rifle to a mate for the weekend and he will be able to sort a load piece of piss.
Whats your gold medal federal factory loads costing per box of 20? $80ish bucks i would think?

It's more in the 'box' of normal range and if you go higher, it's only a small position adjustment with your neck
When you forget to increase mag and shoot 800yds on 15 power you'll soon wonder why you even bother with 20+
