    By pure coincidence I bought a small roll of 12 gauge wire the other day. I’ve got three gongs to play with so what I might do is use conveyor belt straps for one (thank you McNotty), 12 gauge wire for another, and maybe chain for the third, and see which lasts longest. A big plus for the wire concept, it seems to me, is that it would be so quick and easy to replace.
