    IPSC/3 gun scoring App

Just for interest sake, I downloaded an app for scoring and it syncs with pretty much everything.
It seems simple enough to work which is a must in my case.

Called Practiscore. I tried others but they crashed pretty much straight away.

Any other good ones to recommend?
I have the PNZ one on my desktop and I slowly finding my way around that.

I've got IPSC quick score or something on my iPhone but it is pretty basic and doesn't do match scoring etc

I can build and add to squads. Set divisions, major or minor. Build stages, and save and email results. Pretty good for a free app I reckon.

I've been looking at a few to get away from paper scoring in club days, run around with a tablet instead.
Still looking for one that has the features I want, like saving peoples info, and good stability, saving results

the problem we have is that someone does all the scoring a few months later and you don't see how you stack up in terms of slow/accurate vs fast/less accurate

I'm new to ipsc but finding that speed is no1

Speed is of no use to you if youre not accurate. Its a balancing act.

Speed and moderate accuracy shooting a major against minor will just about win everytime.

We got a bloke at our club that's gets around fast and shoots Ds C's and procedurals and still can win with his .40 against us minor shooters shooting clean.

Speed will come I know but it can be disheartening watching a tubby guy beat you around a stage, not hit shit and still win😆

Outside casual club comps you won't be shooting minor against major ever though, you'll be shooting minor against minor and maximum points in minimum time applies equally

Speed is number one in many regards certainly in movement (and economy of movement), shooting cadence that is up for more debate. Sadly my knees don't like me doing anything beyond a gentle trot. Though of course you can't miss fast enough.

Not entirely accurate. While that applies to most divisions it doesn't to the classic division.

Who shoots classic anyway. Old people.

I got an app called "practiscore" which seems ok and tells me I shot 9% better than R93 today

Who shoots classic?! People who want to be realy good ipsc shooters, thats who!

I reckon if you can master classic you can shoot any of the other divisions with ease with the exception of maybe revolver. Speed accuracy and stage planning become much more important when youve only got 8 rounds of major or 10 of minor to play with!

    Ouch

That stage where I was 2.5 times as slow as you on shotgun didn't help me much

This app will be good for scoring directly into, as we shoot.

Cheers for suggesting the app, we've been using it for scoring directly onto with no issues so far, love the instant score comparison
