    IPSC Holsters

I'm shooting a CZ SP01 in Production class using a AA holster for it
Are you able to modify the holster in anyway?
Would like to remove a little off the top edge to that can get a better grip when drawing - still would maintain full coverage of the trigger etc

Are you 'allowed' to mod production holsters in anyway?

    Interesting question.

I shot prod for 1 season before going to std. Half with a Glocks 26 and rest of the year with a glock 22 and very mild loads :-)

At that stage the holster could be anything. I used a rescomp rig. This was about 5 years ago. Will emai

Spanners, my buddy reckons no holster restrictions for prod div, so cr speed/rescomp or ghost allowed.

I can't see any issue with mods as long as RO is ok with it from safety point. Also checked the rule book, and no specific mention of anything to do with holsters for prod.

For USPSA it has to be a concealed holster like IDPA, but IPSC anything goes

Holster it, jump down from a 1 foot height, if it stays in the rig, you're good to go

Used to have to do a forward roll back in the day too. Never saw anyone actually have to do it though.

Not sure if that still goes.

Main thing is Mods are ok but your pistol should not fall out when it's not supposed to and the trigger is fully enclosed when holstered.

I tried to do a forward roll with my kids the other day, nearly broke my neck. I have a Blade Tec Black Ice on order hopefully that will do the trick.
