Katipo ammunition

Had a blat with some of this today.

I was having a really bad day at the range with rifle issues meaning I had to reposition for every shot and I am only average on a good day.

Shot off bipod left hand as rear bag.

3 shots 100m

Velocity 3110fps out of my 223

Seems to go well in this rifle even with some poor shooting.

Im sure I could improve these groups a shitload once i sort a wee issue.

Shot a goat and a deer with this last weekend.
Here is a recovered projectile from the goat. Shot was front on base of neck at 100ish yards.
Recovered under skin on top of shoulders after all but decapitating it.

No recovery from the deer it was in the atlas joint and out the eye.

That looks a fair bit like the projectile I recovered from a goat I shot using BVAC ammo.
What rifle were those groups shot with?

A Howa having a bad day, it smoked a red at 240 something yards the same day in the back of the head and out an eye so I guess you could say im confident in its accuracy in this rifle.

So to any American reading this forum, yes you can take deer with a 223.
Great shooting. I can't wait to get back into hunting again. Might give this Katipo a whirl, when I run out of Hornady Training stuff.
What length barrel did you get the 3110fps from?

As far as I know its factory length maybe minus a couple of mm for thread and re crown to fit the suppressor.
Ill measure it tommorow night.

Barrel length is 585mm bolt face to muzzle. + a few fps for suppressor.

But, I have it on good authority that he is short, this I believe makes all the difference.
Sorta like a Long vs Short action thing, stiffness of posture maybe the key.
