Killing paper
Recently brought a .223 off @Backsteaks and mounted up a tasco gold medal 3-9 scope on it. Took it out to the range for the first time yesterday and sighted it in. Used some cheap ppu ammo to get close to zero then ran some Winchester 55 grain factory ammo through it. Got to say this rifle can put the bullets where you want them. I think this is the best centrefire group I've shot in my life.

Pretty good group alright, not much sense chasing better accuracy.

No Mimms, it's a Wetherby vanguard.

well no wonder your other groups were inch n half...your target dot is all of an inch!!!!!!!
we must get out up hills and try to find something more tasty than paper for you to shoot.

You know my new shooting mantra @Micky Duck.

@RUMPY Yep l have posted several times before when people have been asking about good S/H rifles to look out for, the 4 Weatherby Vanguards l have helped develop reloads for have all been great performers ,mates 223 loves the cheap Belmont stuff as well it shoots into 14mm .You often see them going for bugger all as they are not fashionable.Enjoy it ,they are well built guns .
