You can drive to the firing line rather than walking a kilometre through mud, you can shoot more than 100m, it's a wider range so you have more firing line space (less waiting), less likely to be shot (seem some horrifically unsafe gun handling at the Leith Range) and you'd be helping support the BRC. Join up as a member & whatnot.

Can also be damp and muddy but we like it anyway.

Firing points at 50, 100, 200, 300m, 500 and 600yds.
You don't have to wait for 34 other guys in front of you to finish before you get to shoot just before the range is about to close.
Less chance of getting shot - like gimp I've seen some shocking firearms handling at LV.
You can drive right to the mounds.
Loads of highly experienced and skilled members to learn from - some who have represented NZ in Shooting Comps overseas.
Fortnightly club competitions.
Three major competitions each year focusing on each of the Clubs main shooting disciplines - Hunting Rifle, Long Range and Service Rifle.

If all you want to do is sight in a hunting rifle a couple of times of year then LV might be just right for you - if you want the 'next level' then BRC would be a good choice.
