Real bad choice of backstop - Constructed of treated timber - was some hard knots in it.The shorts really cannot penetrate much. I gave up using them cause they were just to painful to load - the 22 lr - you can load up the magazines and happily plink away.

Much better backstop now Soft freshly cut Butt log - taken hundreds so far - may not even be able to shoot it out before lockdown finishes......Behind the 18 inches of softwood is a 6 inch hardwood sleeper then 6 inches of concrete. After using centre fire for umpten years on the rabbits I had really forgotten how little the 22 penetrates, and also had forgotten the fun and cheapness it is to shoot.
