If they're serious, that means changing something fundamental in the 22's makeup, a lighter pointier pill, or faster powder.

CCI subs work just fine on plouthers and bunnies out around 130 yds. Kill well and surprisingly hold good precision

A few years back (like more than 30!) my brother and I were sitting in the haybarn on top of the hill shooting at a 44 gallon steel drum down on the flats. Once we worked out the holdover on the iron sighted single shot 22 we were hitting it every time. It was quite cool...aim...bang...wait...wait...."tink!". I'll have a look on the mapping program to work out the distance, but at a guess around 150m?

Wonder what makes them "long range". I had visions of them having CETME-like projectiles but probably the truth is more leaden and pedestrian.

It says For targets 100 yards and beyond on the box, so I guess anything 100 yards or more. Isn't MPBR for 22lr usually considered to be about 90m?

Standrd SK is very accurate at 100 metres. Not sure if pictues will show, if not, i'll try again.

Im guessing they are just a 22 load with good consistency and sd's.

rimfire precision rifle shoots are pretty big in the states at the moment. Lots of people shooting out toward 300 with em

Actually sounds like a lot of cheap fun and a lot of good wind doping practice.

IHMSAKIWI do you shoot them in the creedmore position - have I got that right? Reclining with resting the barrel against the side of your leg at that distance?

    Hi Muzr257,

Yes correct. it is a freestyle position so as long as the pistol does no touch the ground you are good to go.
Surprising how stablet the creedmore is as you make a triangle with your two feet and shooting hands elbow. I am better shooting small groups with my XP's from creedmore than off a bags at the bench.
