    Question Long Range Hunting Course

    Hi

Im from Germany and will visit all NZ from beginning of June till the beginning of July.
Im interested in learning basics in hunting (including butchering), in combination with long range shooting, up to 1000 meters (including calculation of the ballistic trajectory).
500m is the maximum I shot before.

So if there is any body, who knows about some clubs or people who offer these things, please tell me.
If you have questions about me or any thing please ask!

    Thank you!

That's hard two believe he's booked out.......
    I could get you shooting a 1000
easy as pie if you've got some half decent gear and a bit of ability
But 1000 on an animal is a whole different story that shouldn't be attempted until you have 100% faith in your ability and gear two get it right first time.
You owe the animal that much.

No sry I mean it is not necessarily to hunt over such a long distance.
The hunt could also be from a closer distance.
But it would be also nice to practice a little bit real long range.

Keep in touch Simon 01, during the time you are here quite a few forum members will be involved in a day of 500-1000yrd testing and you are most welcome to attend, at no cost to yourself.

Focus will be on safety and enjoying whatever gear you want to use.
Luck may provide an animal for butchery lessons.

After some range shooting time, and all rifles and gear are locked away, there will be a BBQ, and provisions to avoid dehydration.

A sense of humour is mandatory, and will be necessary.

    Wrong thread but same topic.

Just be aware that driving distance is a lot different to Germany. We don't have autobarnes and generally a state highway is 2 lanes with lots of corners and limited passing opportunitys.
Google AA travel times if you are goin to travel any distance.

If you can make 7mmsaums thing he was talking about in the ni he would be far better Equipped to teach than I would,I am but a novice.
There may be long range courses in the south? Google is your friend but it would be hard to go past 7mmsaums experience especially for the price

Ok Google is in my case useless, I searched for so many times on Google without success.
Thats why Im here and asking for help.

Of cause you are might be right what you said about 7mmsaums. But I couldnīt imagine that it is so "easy" to get with any body out to the range without high costs.

    Welcome to NZ
You COULD spend big bucks to people who specialize in lightning the wallets of wealthy visitors OR not look a gift horse in the mouth so to speak.
We have a great culture of people helping out people on this forum.

I am very pleased to hear that.

So is it really so easy to get with some body out to the range who show me a little bit of long rage shooting skills and may be even hunting?
Because I donīt have any shooting gear not to speak of a fire arms licence for NZ.
I would of cause pay for.
