Thread: Long Range Shoot, Ashburton, Labour Weekend

I am a new member but have been watching this for some time. I see that people are asking where they can shoot in Christchurch.
We have the Hand loaders and the DA, yes, but we also have regular long range matches in Ashburton and the West Coast.

Do you want to shoot long range, that's 300 to 1000m? well we do and have done for some time.
This weekend, on Saturday is an FTR class shoot, 300 to 700 yards at the Butts Range , Ashburton. And you are welcome to attend.
Approx. 60 rounds. Your rifle MUST be zeroed at at least 100yds/meters. You should have all current ballistic data for your rifle. Any caliber up to .338. (Not suitable for .20 or .223) TGhere will also be a Sniper shoot!

Two classes, Hunter and Target classes. Hunter class for scoped hunting rifles, Target class, the better stuff, FTR TARGET and TACTICAL RIFLES.

If you would like to participate, just turn up, no later than 09.30. Any later and you don't shoot.
This is not a casual shoot. It is a controlled shoot run by qualified range officers. Range fees apply, Spectators welcome, you must have hearing protection.

Sunday is Long range Black Powder, Muzzle and Cartridge. 300 to 600 yds.

THOSE OF YOU WANTING TO SHOOT LONG RANGE ON A REGULAR BASIS, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE.....

Also regular, bi-monthly shoots , 600 to 1000m on a range on the west coast, suitable for all calibers up to .50 cal.
