    Long Range Shooting Manawatu

Evening all, I’m an experienced hunter and shooter looking for a place to shoot past 600m around Palmerston North or wider area. I currently have a farm I can shoot on which is 1.5hours away, but this takes too much time away from my family life, with 4 kids. I’m a registered electrician and electrical inspector and willing to help with any electrical jobs you have around the farm. We also have an AirBnB at Himatangi Beach we’d let you stay at for the occasional weekend at the beach. PM if you’re keen to talk about this further. Cheers, Jack

I know there is a 600m range out Cheltenham way - possibly some forum members know more about it.
I've tended to settle for killing a few distant rocks in the Ruahines

    Gidday Jack,
    I have a place I occasionally sight in a rifle out to 700 m (not a range ) in Marton. It’d be 45 minute drive for you. 200, 400, 500, 700ish gongs.
I’m down in the capital but my olds are up that way, so we’re up there reasonably often.
Did you just want to validate some load data and a bit of practice?
    Cheers

Heya mate, I’m in the palmy area too and would love to tag along if possible. I shoot PRS and hunt too. Always looking for somewhere and someone to shoot with and validate loads etc.

Happy to lend a hand where possible.

@McNotty how many bottles of whiskey would it take to be able to shoot at your gongs sometime

I could also be keen and can trade a few bags of dog food if that helps otherwise some other form of trade is possible as well

Hi guys, I’m always very careful to not take things for granted with land owners. It’s not a big deal to take a mate or some family but just let me ask the question considering I don’t know you guys from a bar of soap.
