Long range steel shoot with 375vm

Forum member BRADZ invited other forum member 338 and myself out to his farm for a long range steel shoot and to have a play with his new 375vm.
338 had just put a new premier on his terminator products 338 edge so after 3 shots at the 100 yard range it was off to have a crack at some steel.

First off was the plate at 740 yards, All dialled up with his 7/375 BRADZ drilled the plate just a half moa low with 2 shots that measured 3/4 moa across, due to a bit of a breeze in the middle of the range, next up was 338 with his 338 edge, first shot right in the black, shit that sigh it worked well my turn. Dialing in the mighty browning BBR in 7mm rem mag I lined up the target squeezed off a shot and hit really low to the left?? oh yea that's a fouling shot.... the next two looked a lot better with the right elevation but just no quite the right windage. needless to say 740 was a breeze for the massive 375.

Next was the 1060 yard target, same order same results.

Now time for the 1400 yard target, shit that's a long way I wonder if I should even try with the 7mm rem mag??

Anyway thought id have a crack, first shot, Bang wait for it........................................... a pathetic 'tink' was heard by everyone. needless to say my head got very big very quick! fluke was the call so I thought id better show them that this awesome $800 gun could do it again, bang, 2.2 second flight time I saw a small dot appear pretty close to the first small dot then another 4 odd second we heard the small 'tink'. Unreal haha. http://www.nzhuntingandshooting.co.n...ilies/grin.png

Next up was 338 with his 338, after a bit of shooter dial error he was easily able to hit the 1400 yard target each shot.

Time for the 375 VM. fist shot was a little low, but remembering BRADZ had only just received the gun the previous day. 338 called the adjustment out simply measured on his premier scopes moa reticle. All dialled in the 375 printed a 5 inch 5 shot group, even with my added shot with the 375 going in the same group. Thas pretty amazing.

    1400 yard groups as follows:
    338 edge: 6 inches
    375 VM: 5 inches
    7mm Rem Mag: 4.5 inches.
