This was a fun job, breaching longrange shooting to a wider audience

That's the tradeoff of bringing the production to this level I'm afraid, someone has to finance it. In this case Zeiss Germany.

Very impressive Thomas. I didn't think I wanted a 338LM barrel or a GRS stock for my R8 prior to watching that...

If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more

Very impressive, @Norway. Can I ask you what App you use to calculate your drops based on the 100yd zero and then actual drop at 800 yard ???

Thanks for your awesome work and passion !!!

I think I would be right in saying you wouldnt be paying for too many hotels if you ever decided to visit New Zealand ...

That's a first! Cameramans woe was generally my lack of smiles, and work has permanently classed me as "grumpy" I think...

Thanks. As far as 338LM goes, this was by far the most "huntable" version I've tried. With the silencer, it is still a manageable and useful rifle. I liked it, it was simply "dead".

Thanks, that is very generous (as I have come to know Kiwis in general). I have visited twice and basically love it. Only thing that I find off is kiwis low self esteem regarding your "in-house" skill set. Compared to what I've seen in other places, the general NZ hunter has a skill set that is simply put superior.

I use the Applied Ballistics app and specifically the ballistic truing function. Not because it is good, but because I'm used to its errors and know most of the bugs. I think Shooter has the same for less money. Strelok also has it, but that program wants too much access to my phone for me to use it.
You can see the process filmed here

It is an RPS Titanium bipod. It was one of my private items as I did not want to enter too many variables into this job. It was bad enough to shoot an unknown rifle, scope and ammunition - at least I wanted a recoil pulse I was familiar with.
You can find the ordinary bipod here, I'm not sure if they list the Titanium yet.

Stunning photography. The wind reminds me of our weather and the challenges of long range. Have you made any other films?

I've participated in a basic longrange DVD which can be downloaded via the production company's Vimeo account https://vimeo.com/user14430847/revie...394/67a9dfb780

Other than that, I put out small non-scripted films on Youtube where I try to include the odd trick or tip every episode

    Nice. What calibre is that?
This makes me want to get a new barrel for my R8. And a trigger upgrade to bix & andy.
