The leupy 1200tbr has a whole heap of preset ballistic curves programmed into it and you choose the one that best suits your load, as stated, it's not perfect especially once you start stretching its legs but it's the kind of gimicky thing that Americans lap up. I use mine without a load loaded into it and get my information from strelok as I'm not keen on shooting out front legs.
As a point of interest there seems to be good ones and bad ones of this model rangefinder, I have no trouble ranging 1200 and have had it range out past 1400 several times.
Now that @kiwi39 tuned mine I will see how far I can get with it, not sure how I even saw anything out of it![]()
@Boaraxa yip you can get a few apps for your phone that do all the thinking for dialling and even holdover reticules. You will need to know the speed of your bullet, the BC of your bullet, scope height, zero distance and away you go. You can hold multiple loads and rifles in them which makes changing across to shoot another really easyJust make sure you are looking at the right data aye @Kiwi Greg

I have had a few phone apps ... Strelok, Ballistic AE, and found them both to work "ok" but a bit disorganised , and difficult to use ...
Then I got Brian Litz's AB Mobile . I found it logical ... easy to use ... and hey .. Its Brian Litz .. so it must be right ...
the only downside to it is lack of choice when it comes to reticles ... but it you're dialing thats not an issue really
I've got an RF that has Ballistic curves built in as well - and I dont use them. I do, however, use the feature that calculates true range using the angle to target and the range ... useful !!!
