Thread: Misfires in recent Barnard S actions?

Wondering if anyone here has a relatively recent Barnard S or SM action that is prone to misfiring? Reason I ask is two of my clubmates have new target rifles with these actions and both last Sunday had a few misfires. It is nothing to do with poor loading technique/new batch of primers/.. I was scoring for both and the strikes when the pin dropped sounded very weak.

My own S-actioned rifle has always been perfect in this regard so I'm suspecting the new ones might have rather weak main springs.
