Go tell the wife she's doing well - some v good shooting there. Yes torque on bedding screw very important - commonly the difference between an average and a very accurate hunter 22LR.
Silencers a variable you don't need when you're trying to precisely test a new rifle. Tested a new 22LR model suppressor for manufacturer a while back and it was quite an eye opener to say the least. Groups jumped from normal 0.5-0.6" for a wee hunter 22 to 1.5-2.5" - loose and erratic. Took silencer off and problem gone. Back to gunsmith and it emerged screw thread was engineered very faintly out of alignment with exit hole, and he'd kept exit hole VERY small to minimise noise. Opened up exit hole slightly with drill bit and all fixed...
T Foye - have shot umpteen thousand bunnies, always with high velocity hollow points and never noticed HPs 'falling out of the sky' with unacceptable drop off. But - my 22 hunters are shot in at 75m, and I tend to max bunny shooting at about 110m with 22s. Ruger 10/22 would not be my pick for 100m-125 shooting - 17HMR or WMR do that next step very well. Example - I have a little Marlin 982SV heavy barrel in 22WMR that easily groups sub 1 inch at 100m so no trouble at 125m for bunnies in low wind conditions. Shooting a 10/22 in at 50 leaves a very big holdover at 120 - easy to get that guess wrong - if that is you don't have time to dial.
