    Moving to timaru

Moving down to Timaru. Starting a new job and will be there long term. Wondering where people do there long rands shooting practice? In north Canty here I have a few places where I can shoot 700m+.
Any river beds down there that people us or someone know of a foresty block or similar.
I prefer relaxed settings rather than struck ranges.

Not sure I'd this is the best lace for this.

    Cheers
    Rob

I have a buddy in Kurow who has heaps of wallabies on his place. Last weekend I nicked a few over at 750y. Was just wondering if there was anything closer to town. Up here I can be shooting in 15 mins

Timaru is a nice wee place, I float in and out of there a bit. Unfortunately I don't know of any longer distance ranges around, the only formal one I know of is the NZDA range out at Taiko, 10-15 minutes from town. Your best bet would most likely be to knock on a few farmhouse doors around Mt Horrible/Pareora gorge maybe and see if they have a suitable patch of hill..

    Might see you around.
