If you want to have a go at fixing it, can I suggest 'Gorilla Grip' instead of epoxy. GG will expand, foam and fill all the cracks and crevices and is very impact resistant.
I am a convert. Fixed SKB broken at the pistol grip, two 'Record' wood planes and a rifle stock, all very strong successful mends. Clamp the main body of the stock to a board with packers to line everything up, then poke glue in everywhere and clamp the pistol grip. When I fixed the SKB the crack wouldn't allow much glue in so I broke the stock completely packed it with glue and clamped it.
