A new bolt 22 for practice

Hi Im thinking of buying a norinco bolt 22 for a practice gun, ive seen a few deals around but haven't seen any spear mags for sale.
I was thinking I don't want to buy a $250 rifle and have to fork out $80 for a spare mag.
Ive hear that they are pretty accurate ? for the money.
any feed back would be good. Cheers.
    Stay off the ridgeline.

Must be able to get spare mags cheaper than that, my local just gave me one when I asked if they had any. CZ mags are around 100 bucks.

Yep they are quite accurate, I started shooting Silhouette matches with one and was competitive after a few matches, out to 75m
they are ok groups open up at 100m but still minute of ram need to try lots of ammo to find the best for 100m at shorter ranges just about any will do for practice, for the dollars they are hard to beat, Brno /CZ's are the next up the rung, Robert.

If you prefer a plastic/laminate stock, keep an eye out for the Marlin XT, cheap from time to time and shoots CCI SV beautifully.

I picked mine up from Serious Shooters for $300. For the money it is a good gun. I had to tear the trigger down and attack it with a wet stone and remove a few coils from the spring to get it to my liking. I use it for long range .22 shooting. It is very fun popping fizzy drinks and slapping steel on our 200m range.

I have a 15+ year old JW15A and it still shoots great 50 - 75 m although the magazine is pretty much stuffed now and yeah replacements are expensive... I've just replaced the Norinco with a Zastava CZ99 as I wanted something nicer. It came with 2 mags and it's a great wee rifle but is a bit more $$$ than Norinco...
