Competitor shall hold their unloaded rifle off the ground with the "non firing hand" (i.e. left hand if they shoot right handed) for a minimum of 60 seconds. Once directed by the range officier the competitor shall load and fire 3 shots off hand at the designated target.

At the commencement of the time limit the Competitor shall pour a bucket of water followed by a bucket of sand over their rifle to the satisfaction of the range officer. The competitor shall then load and fire one shot at each of the following targets - 370m, 630, 780m, 440m.
