    NFA AR15

A bit of fun with a new AR15.

I don't think iv had a New AR that wouldn't shoot 1 MOA... And this was no exception

A bunch of fun and still proper compact with the little 2.5 power optic!

When you were shooting 300, the first couple of rounds had significant muzzle flash, but the last few didn't ? Camera aperture or speed, or something else ?

    Good shooting.

Yeah man it pics it up sometimes I'm working on a montage of shooting which has a lot of low light footage and some of the flashes in that are really quite astounding.

That's very good shooting with a make do rest and such small targets way out there. What sort of hold over for the 400m targets or did you dial it. What ammo were you using. How do you rate the polymer lower. NFA do and all alloy model as well I think, what made you go for the polymer one?

Er yeah the polymer lower is lighter and had a better trigger than anything else in that price range.

The sight has a very fine illuminated reticle with markings for 100 200 300 400 and 600 yards. that worked out perfect for the 55 grain hornady steel case match ammo.

    Awesome video Dr Watson.

You got to be pleased with that.

If I can shoot my CMMG MK4 RCE over similar distances with similar results I'd be as happy as a happy thing on it's happiest day.

    Cheers
    Pete

lol yes it is ... You just gotta modify the mounting system slightly with better hardware then they are sweet.

Iv had no problems with the drop reticle or illumination thus far.

Hey Doc. Awesome vid's mate. I am amazed how well you can shoot that AR with a 2.5x. I have a 4x on mine and i can hit at 600 yards but not in a group that small. Where did you purchase Arctic Fox optic from? The 650 yards looks a long way on the camera

Gun City in Wellington has them, I had to swap out all the hardware but it's held up well since then.

Don't expect anything amazing but as you can see it does a very satisfactory job... and considering it's a sub $400 optic I'm not complaining.
