    Old 22lr ammo

Tried the German stuff, very tight to close the bolt, some went bang & some not so much, accuracy therefore was ordinary. Shooting at 100M using CZ 557 Royal which usually does half inch at 50M. So onwards with the supposed cheap Norinco and bugger me the dam stuff shoots, so the chinese made some awesome ammo a way back, interesting.

Yep, agree about the german ammo, way past used by, heavy wax. Unusual concave rim, have heard the Russians did the same & their ammo was top class.

Reloaders Supplies were flogging that German stuff in the early 1990's I think. The cases looked more like copper than brass.

At $20/brick I bought 1000 rounds but sadly it wouldn't even chamber in my Remington 581 bolt action. Reloaders said some Anschutz rifles had same problem.

The Norinco ammo was pretty good for the price - many small-bore clubs used it as their club ammo .
Yeah, one of our club members regularly shot 100s with it on club nights. Needed wiping down to remove excess, whatever they used. Some batched it by rim size. (There are arguments for and against this.)
Supposedly Norinco set up using Eley dies/gear.
