Peak View Shooting Range & Nighbours.

Article in Stuff about neighbours to a shooting range by Wangmoa River complaining about the range.

Maybe somebody could post a link to it as I can’t.

The range’s two closest neighbours had advised on numerous occasions they did not hear any noise from the range, he said.

Seems like only one person has a problem.

“Noise has also been a subject of contention. On the day of a shooting competition in November 2021, Smart recorded 257 gunshots heard from outside his house between 8.35am and 11am”. Fuck me dead, Rushy’s neighbours heard twice that number of shots coming from this place today.

Some people are only happy when they are miserable and have something to whinge about. Being offended seems to be a hobby for more and more people these days. If not personally offended, it’s quite common to be offended on behalf of someone else.

I think it was John Cleese who said, “ You’re offended. So what?”

I wish I had a range close enough that I could hear it.

There is more too this story that Stuff omitted.. surprise surprise. The neighbour was reported for having firearms they were not meant to be in possession of, suddenly they had a problem with the range.

Hope NZ could have a range in south, not just a range but a museum, all the firearms since last two centuries, and people can actually feel the history in their hands and experience it by fire few shots in a simulated environment and scenes.

That's actually a bloody good idea, I'd line the kids up for a go on a belt feed MG even if it is only a good VR simulation.
