Wind the scope one way till it stops, wind it the other direction counting the clicks till it stops, then wind back half that number, the reticle should be in the middle of the adjustment range. You say your getting 1.5 turns on a 3 turn turret so it sounds like your centered already.
The other way is to hold the objective lens hard against a mirror and look into the scope. You will see 2 images of the reticle. Adjust until they both are together. That gives you the optical centre also.
