Hi All
I have zeroed my rifle at 100m but although I have a triple turn turret I can only get 1.6 turns on it before hitting the stops.
Do I need different mounts from regular ones that will tilt the scope down to enable a full range as before I put it on the rifle and zeroed it I was getting 3 turns or have I another problem I've not thought of.

Im GUESSING your scope ring is too tight in wrong place...reason I say this,old redfield scope I had did this,but in different way,wouldnt go to 9 power,only up to 7x the body had enough give in it to stop movement with mounts tight..moved along 1/4'' the eye relief was wrong but zoomed all the way.
when yo usay you did have 3 turns....is that from one end to other..... and now you are zeroed your half way (give or take) so have 1.4 and 1.6 turns up n down respectively???
Nah, sounds like simply a turret/mounting issue. A sloped base should solve this or you could just use Burris Signature rings and play with the sloped inserts.
I don't think they are too tight but I may be wrong. It should be tripple turn from zero MickyQuote:

If you need more come up use a 20moa rail or as @6x47 said use Burris Signature Zee rings with moa inserts. The inserts are available in several moa options, 0, 5, 10 etc.
I have just had a look at the B.C. and I can get 16 MOA and which would be 1430m so twice as far as I have shot before. So I might well leave it and worry about something else, like the price of ammo @ $5.45c per round!!!Quote:

Wind the scope one way till it stops, wind it the other direction counting the clicks till it stops, then wind back half that number, the reticle should be in the middle of the adjustment range. You say your getting 1.5 turns on a 3 turn turret so it sounds like your centered already.
what marty said. And if he is correct (probably) then you will need to add a pic rail with slope on it or rings as said.
The other way is to hold the objective lens hard against a mirror and look into the scope. You will see 2 images of the reticle. Adjust until they both are together. That gives you the optical centre also.Quote:
