    Property access (WGTN)

Hey guys shooting related not hunting so thought this might be the best place for this.

So what I am after is a friendly person here with land (or access to) in the greater Wellington area who would be willing to let two safe and licensed shooters do some target stuff.

We've considered DOC land but I had a hip reconstruction mid May so walking far is out of the question, also don't want to piss off any hunters in those areas by target shooting.

A box of beer can be arranged and a blast on the .338LM for anyone generous enough to help us out.

    Cheers,
    Dan.

I don't think you can use 338 lapua on the nzda range.

I think you can't use any rifle larger than 8mm.
Besides its only 200m Max which is too close for the 338 anyway

Give me a msg if ta get stuck ... It has been my experience that people won't tolerate a 338 blasting away on there property for very long...

Even with the generous offer of a box of double brown...

    Cheers

Cheers Stumpy nice to meet you mate.

So had some success with the .338 Savage on the range this morning. Started with 94gr of RL25 which slowly tightened up at the 96gr mark then opening up again untill 98gr which looks like the sweet spot with 250gr SMKs.

Got to be happy with that from a budget Savage.
