Thread: Public Range near Wellington

Hey all,

I'm looking to sight-in my new Savage before heading out the middle of next week for a hunt but the NZDA range is closed for lambing. Any thoughts on where I could go as a member of the public to sight-in my rifle? Doesn't even need to be a range necessarily, just a spot with an appropriate backstop on hunting-approved DoC land or private land that permission can be sought after.
