Try Mike Collings in Whakatane. His dad used to also supply and fit Kreiger barrels.
MC is off to USA for Palma so probably not for some weeks, but worth a shout.
Tony Tightridge in Christchurch .He is a bench rest competitor. Nobody is more anal than those guys when it comes to quality equipment.
Is Mitch Max still around?
Tony Titheridge is your man alright. PM me if you don't hear from him on here (TonyT) as I have his details
Your Avatar says Auckland....Dean Maisey is in Tauranga, a 2 1/2 hour drive and in the advertisers section here.so easily contactable, make an appointment and go for a drive?

+1 for Dean Maisey. When I was looking to build my last custom rifle I visited Dean. This gave me the opportunity to meet the guy himself, look at his shop (immaculate and extremely well equipped) and look at some of his work. The decision then to go with Dean was too easy. Sure there are many others around (an some not too crash hot as well) who are only a courier away but I preferred to be able to do the personal thing which included dropping off all my bits and discussing and agreeing what it was that I wanted to achieve, and then collecting the finished product. I too live about 2 1/2 hrs drive from Dean. I have also used Scott Traill for a trigger job (EM332 superb result) in which case I did't need to visit his shop and sent the job via courier. Scott too has a very good rep.
TruFlite - give Grant a call and talk thru what you want.
Thanks guys
I have a new Sako Quad barrel hopefully turning up today that Tony did for me. Excited to see how it goes

I just had Dean Maisey supply and install a pacnor barrel for me. Thumbs up for Dean, very pleased with the accuracy so far. Had it powder coated up here in Auckland (cause I'm vain and it looked like it needed to be tactical AF haha)
I'm not getting into shit slinging but I wouldn't be getting dean to do any work for me.

.
Allan Carr for all things Mauser, Mitch Maxberry for all things Remington, oh and he did my Jongmans barrel as well.
There are a few gunsmiths around too. I've not really heard of any really bad ones. I reckon the kind of experience they have is excellent to have close by. In Australia just finding one is a mission and a half
Except me Craig! Lol. I've had Mitch do some work for me and was very happy. Neat, tidy and well priced.
