Thread: Rear bag rider

I’ve been trying to find out about bag riders but haven’t had much luck.

How do they work/what are they supposed to do?

Is one helpful for hunting when using a rear bag?

Has anyone tried this product?

Looks a little like a solution looking for a problem.

A bag rider is supposed to give a bigger surface area to work with between the bag and your rifle. So if the rifle recoils, your stock will move backwards in a straight line which should allow you to get back on target much faster for follow up shots. More applicable for PRS style competitions where you have to send multiple rounds within a short time.
