Rifle ranges in the Franklin area

Does anyone know of a good range in the Franklin/South Auck. area? Blasting away in the back paddock's fun but the neighbours often grazing cows close to my targets so shootings out of question a lot of the time.[/B][/B]

They wouldn't get out of sorts with a 308 blasting away?

Shouldn't do, non-members are permitted to visit Saturday 1200-1600. Best to book in advance by sending an email to the address linked to below.

The WPC has a strong rifle section - a lot of them do not actually shoot pistols. There are 2 ranges dedicated to CF out to only 100yds though. 3 sound proofed shooting tunnels for the noisier stuff. Definitely need to book in advance. Club now has over 400 members and although obviously they don't all front up together it can get hectic.

Clevedon is shut until October, but often they are shooting 500 yards plus.

Does anyone know what stage the new Ardmore range is resource consent application wise?

Waiuku is worth it, considering the weekday shooting that can be had.
I have just paid my sub, a week later they courier your badge and range key to you. I dont have a problem with a 300wm and 375 h & h like some other ranges around Auckland.

I thought Waiuku was closing down due to sub division of the land and neighbours complaining (Western Springs syndrome)
