So yep, as the thread title says - Rotorua NZDA branch is running a 22LR field target shoot on Saturday the 30th of November.
I'll post the official advertisement flier tonight but in short:
Date: Saturday the 30th of November 2013.
Safety Briefing at 9am - Do not miss this briefing.
Any 22LR calibre rifle with any sight and any form of rest will be fine (You do have to carry your own gear).
It will be a 40 shot event with something like 25 seperate targets shot from 8-10 different locations.
No jacketed, tracer, or bird shot 22LR ammunition to be used.
There will be no sighting shots - turn up ready to go.
There will be a BBQ along with the prize giving.
Yes, there will be some prizes on the day including prizes for junior competitors.
Entry fees: $10 per adult - $5 per junior (includes BBQ).
The Rotorua NZDA branch is using this event as their club Swazi Junior shoot. Only juniors that a Rotorua NZDA club members will be eligible for the Swazi prizes though. Because we are expecting junior shooters we will be setting the course with that in mind. It should not be a very difficult course.
