    Ruger 10/22 surprise!

My mate asked me to zero his 10/22. It's old, rusty and the bolt needed some persuasion to close. Never been cleaned I'm guessing The scope sitting on it is a total piece of crap. I thought it would group like shotgun, then I put 10 shots through the same hole at 25 metres. I'm impressed!

the older alloy framed trigger ones have way better accuracy than the new plastic fantastics

Despite their best efforts they occasionally made one as good as a marlin.

my 10/22 is one of the first of the alloy/ss barrel jobbies. mid 90's I think? I did some things to it back in day more because I could than what it needed. I was always happy with how it shot

Yeah i am thinking of getting one, love my JW 15 but the 5 shot mag is wearing my thump out reloading and I am sick of cranking the bolt.
Started spotlighting last night, rabbits everywhere, an accurate 10 shot plus semi would be great for my situation.

Nah not me mate, Mark's a nice guy but I find those Wanaka prices steep. The local boys at Cromwell Hunting and fishing look after me pretty well.

Haha... you think his prices are steep...? You should try the clowns here in Queenstown. They are selling boxes of ammo $10 dearer than Wanaka! Eye-watering.

I have found Marks prices really good, I bought my Z 5 scope off him and it was cheaper than anywhere else. Back to the topic though, I have a Ruger 10/22 which I bought a few years ago the scope was ordinary and grouping wasn't real good however I have just put my Boris scope off my 7mm rem mag on it and hell it is so much clearer. I have shot a shit load of rabbits with the riffle and can't wait to get back into it with the better optics on it.
