    Sako A7 - 7mm Mag - Sighted In

    Hi Guys

After all waiting from yesterday, finally went to the range and sighted in my new Sako A7.

As advised by members it had a slightly higher recoil than my old 6.55x55 shooting 140gr but loving it.

    Grouping at 100 yards

This week has been fairly nice and good to me.. Good things happened ie
    1. I got my new rifle
    2. Sighted it fairly quickly and good grouping
    3. Made friends with a hunting buddy and we are heading out to the Tararuas for a day hunt on Saturday

Just hoping the week ends in the same way by giving me that one chance to get the Sako blooded..

    Cheers

Its the sack he has been farting in(and you don't want to know what else!) for the last few years he is giving you to fart in.

I am not sure that VC would ever sound like me.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Great shooting. You'll like the 7mm mag, it is a great round. Now you just have to organise a tahr trip for the spring. Then you will really be able to stretch it's legs on some goats.

Good shooting dude...but don't trust the ballistic plex at long range unless you've done the range work. They're not spot on unless you're zeroed at "x" distance with "x" projectile etc. And it's not just the verticle - even more so is the horizontal.

I always cringe when people hold over or use ballistic reticules at over 300yds. Even if its a goat or whatever, being gutshot or winged is not cool.
