Splash is a factor of a few things, soil- is it dry, is it moist, is it loamy and soaking them up on impact. Projectile construction also plays a big part. Match bullets tend to create better splash due to their tendency to expand rapidly on impact creating a mini explosion i guess. Most of this you probably already know. Like you said, your technique will have a bit to do with it, recoil control, having a natural point of aim. I had to re learn how to shoot prone but now i have i am a pretty confident prone shooter with good technique (so im told) doesn't amways come through in my results however![]()
