It'll be rather loud in the bush without the suppressor.

So far I seem to average pulling the trigger about 1 in 5 trips so until my hunting improves my ears are probably safe
Had a serious major falling out with dear wife of 40 years because I honestly didn't hear her calling to be let into locked house; she was positive I was deliberately ignoring her. All good now but not really funny. So look after that hearing!!
All good options. Both .308 and 7mm08 are nice efficient cartridges and perform well in short suppressed barrels. I have a Blaser R93 7mm08 barrel shortened to 17" and fitted with a Hardy suppressor. Best factory load is Hornady Superperformance 139 grain SST's which exit the suppressor at 2750 fps and group 0.5 MOA so I figure good for 300 yards plus. I also have a Blaser R8 barrel in .308 that is 16" long with a A-Tec suppressor. Super accurate with the Australian outback 165 grain load which runs around 2700 fps which is not far behind the Hornady Superperformance 165gn load. if you are going to fit a suppressor I would definitely shorten the barrel as it keeps the unit well balanced and handy in the bush.
Best wishes
Put it to work on the weekend all working well.
