S&B usually works, post up some pic's of your first group or 2 when you try it out.

In what kind of rifle will you be using them?

Before I started reloading this was my standard hunting load.

I used it with great success in a Tikka T3x Lite (20" barrel). If I did my job it was 0.75 MOA or better.

As it is rather low velocity the meat damage even at close range and on small quarry (such as roe deer) was really nothing to worry about.

On the other hand and due to the "ballistics" I would not want to use it outside 200 or 250 meters.

For "brush hunting" and boar up to 85 kg the round never let me down.

    Cheers

You are right! I forgot. There are two types of .30 caliber 180 grs soft points.

The standard round nose and the SPCE (soft point cutting edge).

On game I could not tell a difference in performance.

On paper the SPCE holes looked nice. Like wadcutters.

I mainly used the standard round nose in the bulk box.

    Cheers

Use to be my preferred ammo I liked it because of the partition projectile, after covid it became hard to source, also partitions have gone thru the roof price wise. Now I'm using corelokt, I'm happy with them, usually bang flop. Would still be using them if they were easily available
