Would have been keen. Bloody rain! Did the shoot go ahead? If not, when might the next shoot be?

Masterton Rifle Club had our Wairarapa Spring Shoot today @ Trentham.
800/900/1000 yds - windy as usual, and all shooters had problems at 900 as the wind was really gusting/shifting randomly - typical apparently.
Just went as an extra pair of hands - shoulder giving me gyp with arthritis.
Hoping we can get a replacement for Brancipeth early next year.
Many thanks to Karori Rifle Club for sharing their club rooms/facilities with us.
A great bunch of people in this NRA shooting game

The accuracy of the velocity at the targets is up for debate, there are a lot of variables at play and the sensor is only about 30cm long ,however we have done some testing with a magnatospeed crony on the barrel and and the speeds correlate (higher speed at the muzzel = higher speed registered at the target, same with slower shots showing up slower at the target and the difference between high and low speeds are about the same on both cronys )so we use the speed on the targets as a useful guidline only
Te Puke is holding a HUNTER CLASS SHOOT on SUNDAY 25TH FEBRUARY 2018, EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO COME AND SHOOT THEIR HUNTING RIFLE AT 3,5 AND 600 YARDS ,PRIZES AWARDED ON THE DAY
We also welcome visiters to our range we are open Saturday's during the season if you want to get in some practice

    Range fees

Fees for a days shoot are $5.00 for 3 shoots of 12 shots at whatever range we are shooting on the day then $1.00 for every additional 12 shots.
Up to 8mm in calibre ,no muzzel brakes ,suppressors are ok
We shoot every Saturday weather permitting that includes the odd bit of light rain, yes we are a keen bunch
