Is there any???
Yes, NRA ranges
Thanx mate
Hey there Rookie, theres the Hamilton/Whatawata rifle club, shooting from 300-1000 yards.NRA stlyes, but we try and cater for people wanting to come for a go.
Season is well over now, dont think we start back up again until October.
What sort of shooting did you want to do?
RUNAS
Id love to come for a go,i dont have my FAL(yet) but would love to improve my long range skills and set myself up and get into hunting, and would like a place where i can shoot and sight in ect..
Cheers
If you are just looking for somewhere to sight in and fire some rounds off you can use my backyard...can only do it on Saturday arvo or Sunday at the mo due to workers in the area at other times. How big a banger are you using?
Well at the moment i have none haha am still deciding what my first rifle should be,kinda thinking of t3 in 7mm08?should be a good all rounder aye?
or even a 243 0r 270 0r 308 or 223 or 7mmremmag.....it goes on:yaeh am not durnk:
Get a .303...only rifle that I know of that comes with sights calibrated out to 2200 yards as standard:P
There so many options haha
Oh stop scaring the poor man away! :) Can't wait to see your scores, Rookiesniper! Get amongst it!
So im thinking .303 or .308 would be a good start then?thanx for the help guys am still new to the "specs" of rifles,i know how to shoot and have been around guns all my life but still clueless to what my first rifle should be,something i could take bush and not completely destroy any deer i may shoot:slow:
Better off buying a 308 mate too easy to get your fingers burnt when it comes to 303's
Buy a Mosin, bayonet any deer encountered within 50m. Or a M44 carbine, within 50m the muzzle flash lightly sears the deer for you, so you can take out your knife and fork and eat what's left right there and then.
But yes, I would also like somewhere near Hamilton to shoot rifles, for now just for some more trigger time, and in the near future for load development.
