Shooting mis-information
Here's a thread I suspect Tussock will like... Post your links to shooting mis-information but please don't make it into a flame/hater thread.
How did they ever come up with the idea that holding your rifle scope whilst shooting is a good idea ???
Here a clip that aired from the Outdoors Channel. Watch closely and you'll see how he gut shoots the elk just in front of the hip bone at 975 yards no less

Here is from the Zeiss USA webpage where they try to sell 2nd image plane and Rapid Z. "Optimum power setting" at 02:10 is a very creative way of saying "will only work at one power setting".

Here is another one from Gunwerks were they shoot 1090 yards at a moving elk. I cannot be sure, but from looking the only "wet spot" on the fur seems to be at the rump, spine height...

They also have a few other horrible shots they've put out. Too bad, because Gunwerks have some very neat instruction videos like
Crosswind component

Corelis effect (they only discuss vertical displacement, but does it very well)

Sorry Norway you are mistaken with the first video - did you not hear him distinctly say "i bet I can shoot the dick off an bull elk at 975 yards with this rifle".
It was just obviously proper bullet placement for such a shot:ORLY:
The gunwerks one they didnt recover until the following day? - i like how they pan back immediately post shot so you cant see the wounded animal kicking etc:pissed off:
