Shooting mis-information

Here's a thread I suspect Tussock will like... Post your links to shooting mis-information but please don't make it into a flame/hater thread.

How did they ever come up with the idea that holding your rifle scope whilst shooting is a good idea ???
Here a clip that aired from the Outdoors Channel. Watch closely and you'll see how he gut shoots the elk just in front of the hip bone at 975 yards no less

Here is from the Zeiss USA webpage where they try to sell 2nd image plane and Rapid Z. "Optimum power setting" at 02:10 is a very creative way of saying "will only work at one power setting".

Here is another one from Gunwerks were they shoot 1090 yards at a moving elk. I cannot be sure, but from looking the only "wet spot" on the fur seems to be at the rump, spine height...
