    Shooting progression/ Update

Been lurking for a while since i first posted and with study, exams and family etc haven't been out hunting/shooting as much as i would of liked.
Still had a relatively bad flinch that i could put some rounds on paper were i wanted and then the next few shots i would pull them really bad.

Browsing trademe i made an impulse buy on a Zastava 308 that was cut back to 15.5 inches and a and hardy suppressor. Exaclty what i was looking for. Top feed, short, suppressed and a bit heavier round than the 243 i was using. Having put around 40 rounds down it it still kicks but not getting blasted by the noise and muzzle has helped my shooting. I even noticed when i had a go with the 270 that i didn't flinch. Hit the end of a 3 inch tin at 100 yards. not impressive at all but normally i would flinch so bad i would of never hit that sized target. Reminding myself that it kicks and is loud but doesn't hurt me helps. Being able to constantly hit 2-3moa sized targets now while not taking a great time to aim is a great feeling.

Took some work mates out target shooting at bottles, jar lids and saucer plates. I had just as much fun letting them have a go. Will post a short video when i get time.

As Danny said, plugs and muffs.
Put a bit of extra padding between the butt and your shoulder, folded jacket sleeve etc. Not too bulky. concentrate on your breathing and not the recoil you are about to get.

Funny how when shooting an animal in the bush you don't notice the kick or the loud bang
