Shooting range in Wairarapa for visitors

Hi, we're visiting family in the Wairarapa, and since we're no longer on a farm I'm trying to find a shooting range open to visitors. I'm keen to move my kids up from air rifles to .22. Does anyone know if the club & range at Gladstone have days open to the public? Are there any other ranges about?

Range is open on Wednesday afternoon from 2pm until dark. Also open on Sundays from about 9am. However it will depend if a club member is onsite to open/close the range.

Google "wpssc" to find their website.

Great, thanks. Surprised there's not another range around (NZDA?) to cater for townie shooters needing to sight in etc. I guess it hasn't been required in the past as the various towns are close to rural areas, and in the current climate it's too hard to set a new one up.

This one does cater, you just have to pay $10 per shooter. It is also available to NZDA members (or was at some time in the past) so they don’t really need to set up their own.

Wednesday 96% chance there will be someone there. Sunday can be a bit hit and miss but still fairly reliable.
Don’t forget BYO eyes and ears protection.
