    Should my 223 rounds light up like tracers??

    Strange question and maybe an obvious answer, but I was spotlighting up the Richmond ranges in forestry last week and shot a nice Hind at about 200m.

    My mates said they saw the bullet travel the whole way till it hit the deer, lucky I didn't miss

    Ammo was factory Federal 69gr.

    Is this just something that happens every now and then with hot projectiles at night or have I just never noticed it before?
